Having gone to GREAT lengths to create a database of 'bad' players and a rating system for same, I am NOT pleased that a number of players on an exclude list I have created (200 names) are still quite able to register for my tourneys.

What's the go?

Are they coming in as subs? That has always been a backdoor in.

The exclude list is not infallible, sorry.

Include lists are the only way to guarantee that only people you specify can enter. Include list, include friends, include private club will work.

Not subs. Actually I'm happy for them to come in as subs, unless they are utterly foul, in which case I ask, and trust, abuse@bridgebase.com to 'take care' of them, and will have them truly an 'enemy' and remove them.

Thanks, Uday. I have to wonder why it is not possible to make them infallible. I - and I'm sure many other TDs (and players) - regard this as a significant flaw, especially considering what would seem to be a fairly simple logic to it's execution.

You have previously told me that there are limits to include lists, too: http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?sho...4303&hl=include. I can readily understand and accept there may be limitations to how many persons one can exclude. IS this problem related to the size of the list?

I like running tourneys. I'm proud of doing so, and I try to make them fun and/or interesting, and run them as well as I can. I LOVE the idea that a couple of players can meet in the wonderful place that is BBO and register to play in a tourney I am hosting without a lot of fuss. There are, however, a number of players who apparently do not respect the the rules of the site, or the conditions of contest that I have posted, and regularly cause disruption. They are NOT welcome.

I know that I can mark them as enemies and 'boot' them, but this places a drain on the reserves of substitute players, and causes issues of it's own.

A private club (any form of include list, really) would, I suspect, involve even more administrative effort on my part.

Can't it be fixed?
