When you type in your reply, they card symbols appear below the Bold choice in the style bar.

That's what I thought when I first started, but it means "[I'll] Be Right Back".

The same way you type emojis in any other application.

On a Mac, the Edit menu in every application has "Emojis and Symbols", which displays a dialog with all the emojis. I'm not sure what the equivalent on Windows is.

Why are you answering a 10-year-old question, which was already answered then?

Call me a cynic, but I see absolutely nothing positive about "wdp" for making a cold contract nor "gdp" for beating a contract holding a 5-0 trump stack. Pull off a Vienna Coup and you'll get a WDP! from me. Or beat a contract with a brilliant opening lead and you'll get a GDP! from me. But "wdp" and "gdp" to congratulate routine play, while courteous, are just mundane imo.

Zelandakh used (came up with?) the instantly understandable abbreviation 'cog+' in a recent thread. I thought that was creative.

Some people write "wdp" reflexively whenever partner doesn't go down. It doesn't matter if it's due to a defensive error, or they could have done even better. Don't take it so seriously.

As I said, I just find it mundane. And I don't take anything real seriously anymore. If "wdp" makes 'em happy, more power to 'em.

Does anyone know how to add emojis when chatting using a browser client on a desktop?
I can do:
; ) wink
: D grin
: $ blush
: ) smile
: ( frown
: P tongue

But I've seen people with iPads can do clapping hands etc - can they be replicated using character combinations?
