You bid (fabulously!) to 7.

A heart is led. You win the Ace and cash the Ace of trump. RHO shows out.

How do you play?

I'm going to assume W is 5233 with the club Q, because I'm stupid and can't figure out how to make this if this isn't true. I'm assuming E would've bid something with 8 hearts.

I play the spade Q and a spade to dummy's J over W's 9.

Then I cash 3 rounds of diamonds. I play a fourth diamond; if W ruffs the fourth round, it's over, so he pitches a club (irrelevant what he pitches). I pitch dummy's heart.

I play small to dummy's club J, then back to my K. Now I play my last diamond, which gives west no response.

I think you also can make if West in dealt with only 2 cards in Club with the Queen.
After 3 rounds of trumps, I cross in my hand with in Diamonds and finesse the Queen in Club now. Then I cash the Ace of Club and now run the Diamond.
If West ruffs I draw the last trump and cross in close hand with a Club to the King to make the last Diamond.

If West refused to ruff, I discard a Heart and play my last Diamond.
If he refuses to ruff again I discard the Club from dummy …

It is important to start with the Clubs otherwise West could refuse to ruff the Diamond and discard his Clubs instead...

I was thinking long about playing low spade at trick 3 keeping spade queen in hand, but I finally dropped it becuase it blocks the trumps when LHO latter ruffs a diamond.

Best I think is J, then A and then diamonds.

I think it will do just as good as Noble's line.
