X = Penalty, but may not be beat in hand off the top. Partner has shown some values here, after all.

While I'm fine with 3♠ on this, it isn't close to a double of 4♥.
I'm more inclined to peg this hand as something more like:
AQxx, Kx, AQxx, xxx
Pard is allowed to pull, but I wouldn't expect it more than 15% of the time.

I agree it is penalty, but probably with s.th. like ♥AQ. With the hand above, I would be expecting overtricks in 4♥ more often than undertricks. How many tricks do you think we get on defense when partner may have KQxxx xx Jxxx xx? Or KQxxxx xx xxx xx?
The easiest way to count losers is to line up the people who talk about loser count, and count them. -Kieran Dyke
