Well 5 looks like the straight forward control showing bid that indicates you have a spade control problem [since you bypassed it]

Charlie Tuna seems right. Or maybe this is one of those hands where we don't want a bid with good taste, but rather one that ends up tasting good. Had this discussion on a string about a week ago, where just asking for key cards and hoping not to give much info is better.

 A familiar hand. I'm trying to get a reading on what serious bridge players do in this situation. Personally, I think the hand is a little too good to pass, but should I ask with RKC and two quick spade losers (potentially) or tell with a Q bid? And, if so, whidh one?

Yes it does..... so based on the "Tannah Hirsch recommendation", I show the double fit with includes the Diam K, although Ken would rather it be the K Q x .

I'd go with the Ken Rexford recommendation of 5, inferring a diamond card and control (1st or 2nd) in clubs. LOL

Maybe we shoud start to play denial cuebids opposite monster hands (like the one partner has).

Until we do, I try a simple 4 NT.
Kind Regards
