I've been here for so many years, yet I am just reading those pinned posts for the first time :), by mistake, but for the first time nevertheless.

If pinned documents on a different color is avaible that would be nice.

How does "MultiQuote" work. Nothing seems to happen when I click on the button.

In the previous forum, when I clicked "mark this forum read" i was taken back to the main index, now I appear in the forum just marked as read. I can't find a preference option that would change this, but I might just not be looking in the right place.

Click multiquote on all the messages you wish to quote. Then click "add reply" (at bottom). If the forum is looking for suggestions, this should also work if I click MQ on a few posts, then click "reply" on someone's post (but it doesn't yet, at least not for me).

Thanks.

Do we have to manually nest quotes?

Also I really like the visual hand editor. Much easier to enter hands from scratch.

Still, what I was really hoping for was a "import from myhands" function. Basically, a button that pulls up a search of my played hands for the last (say) one week, I choose one, and it loads into the editor automatically, auction, play, and all. Probably should mask player names though.

That would be fantastic but perhaps not easily done or it would have been included.

looks that way. Kind of makes sense in the context of multiquote, but kind of a PITA also. From another forum, I'm used to not nesting quotes, so not that big a deal IYAM.

Not sure what you meant by nested quotes. I broke your message adding headers by hand, to answer each point separately.

Nested quotes used to work like this (automatically)

Now the bit that gets displayed in purple (the nested quote) has to be set up by hand. This means that the context of what exactly you're replying to is lost unless you want to work hard at it.

But it would indeed be nice if the quote color would change by poster. I suspect that's possible to do manually but a little annoying.

Has the ability to like/dislike posts been activated yet? I get a message saying that I have exceeded my daily quota of positive and negative votes, which suggests that I have no quota.

That's only because people dislike you so much :)

But yes I have no quota either.

We wouldn't have quotas if Ronald Reagan were president.

Tens are displayed as 10.

I understand that.

Old hands that were displayed as ATx etc have the ten missing in the new diagram. The conversion seemed to overlook the "T" thus resulting in hands with fewer than thirteen cards.

I see. Yes, ATM nesting has to be done manually. Guess it makes sense for MultiQuote to behave like Quote if there is only one selected.

It does (now complete URLs too).

That might be because we all have 0 reputation so far and can't like anything.

I just hope that whenever you like a post it doesn't promote higher, it would mess things up and make everything impossible to understand.

There have been plenty of answers, but none about the likes/dislikes. I wonder why the secrecy? Or I'm just paranoid as usual :)

1) I hope to get used to this, and I hope that the benefits will become apparent to me.

2) the new "trendy" interface is busy. It's also both more intrusive than the old one and more vertical space is wasted with it (and it is fixed-size, so I can't set my font appropriately to minimize it). Vertical space is precious, especially since the promulgation of widescreen monitors. I nth the request for different themes/skins.

3) How do I get to the mobile version of this? Would it be cleaner? Can I use it with a non-mobile browser?

4) I do like the bigger "fast reply" screen.

5) Icons and pictures don't make sense to me - the ones heading the posts in particular. Is there a legend anywhere, or mouseover text that would explain them?

6) On the old boards, I could mute the [expletives deleted] emoticons specifically. Here, it's lumped into "pictures". Is there a way to separate them again, so I don't have to not see any of the useful pictures? Better yet, the [same ed] things blink. Wheee.

These foruns look kind of strange right now, but I'm sure I'll get used. Colors are nice, though.

Not crazy about the red, but I don't find it nearly as offensive as others seem to.
