Criticize the bidding another time. LHO leads 8. What holdings do you visualize for opps that will allow you to make this hand? Based on that, what is your line of play?

Playing on spades looks like the only viable option here. I duck the opening lead in dummy hoping that North doesn't have the 10. Draw trumps, run the 9 and that should establish either the Jack or the 7.

FWIW the bidding looks fine :)

Certainly possible that S has led 8 from something like K108, AKxxxx, Kxx, x, but it's not likely. Even knowing from the bidding that it will be ruffed, leading a top is much more likely. If you haven't already looked at spoiler, try again. ;)
