GIB will often jump to 5 of the trump suit.
I still haven't figured out what he's asking (or showing).
Take this hand:
WEST GIB EAST ME
Pass 1♠ Pass 2NT
Pass 4♣ Pass 4♦
Pass 5♠ Pass 6♠

GIBs hand was:
♠KJ954 ♥5 ♦T9 ♣AKT74

The 4 club bid showing a second 5 card suit is okay,
but over the 4 diamond cuebid with a minimum, GIB
should just bid 4 spades.

The description of the 5 spade bid was acceptable, but
somewhat meaningless since GIB doesn't have anything
extra to show:
5+ S; 21- HCP; rebiddable C; 5- 8421 HCP in S; 13-22 total points

I think the GIB expects you to sign off with all minimums. 4D was probably described as cuebid; 8+ 8421 in D, 15+ total points or something.
