I gathered some hands that I thought were interesting, and I'm planning to organize a new BPO. I'd like to do it as much as possible in the way that inquiry did in the past: have a panel and base the scores on the votes of the panel.

So, what I need now is a panel. If you'd like to be on the panel and you think that people might enjoy reading your comments, please send me a message and I'll send you the hands soon. I hope that there will be panelists from quite a few different countries.

The hands will mostly be bid using BBO standard. There will be 7 bidding problems and 1 lead problem.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I expect at least one "2NT forcing wtp".

I'd like to have a shot at being a panelist.

If you deem me good and interesting enough I'd love to help.

I have sent the hands to the posters from whom I've received a message. I hope that those of you who posted here will be active in the discussion of the hands. Of course everybody will also be able to send in their votes, and I'll post the names of the top scoring posters.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I will post the hands here now. If you are not on the panel, you can send me your answers (without comments please) until June 1st. At that point I will start new threads (one for each hand) where the hands can be discussed, so please don't react to the hands here. Ben, could you close this thread for discussion?

Hand 1: All red, imps.

x AKxxxx xxx Axx.

1C - 1H
1S - 2D
3C - ??

Partner bids 4D if possible, what's your third and fourth call?

Hand 2: K10xxx x K10xxx Jx.

1C - (1H) - 1S* - (2H)
p - (p) - ??

* = shows 5.

red against white, matchpoints.

Hand 3: Qxxx Kx AKQx xxx

1H - 2C*
2S** - 3S
4C*** - 4D
4H - ??

* = (GF, bal or clubs)
** = does not promise extra values
*** = 3NT would deny serious slam interest. Ace, king or shortness.

Hand 4. xx A10xx AJx AQJx

All white, matchpoints. RHO opens 2D, multi. Do you:

a. Bid 2NT, showing 16-18 balanced.
b. Pass, planning to double 2S for takeout.
c. Double, then pass if it goes 2H (pass) - 2S.
d. Double, showing 13-15 balanced or a good hand, planning double 2S for takeout.
e. Something else (describe).

Hand 5. All red, matchpoints.

AQJxxxx - Kxx 10xx.

1H - pass - pass - ??

(1S, 2S and 4S as options? perhaps also 3S?)

Hand 6. All red, matchpoints.

AKJxxx Jxxx A Ax

(p) - p - (2C*) - Dbl
(p**) - p - (2D) - ??

* = weak with diamonds or strong.
** = suggestion to play 2CX.

a) Do you agree with the double?
b) What is your call now?

Hand 7.

AJ QJxxxxx - J10xx

None vulnerable, IMPs.

(1D) - 1H - (1S*) - 2D
(3S) - ??

* = 5+ spades.

What do you bid and what is your plan if the opponents bid 4S?

Hand 8

All red, patton (mixture of matchpoints and IMPs).

x 109x KJxx 109xxx

The opponents bid 1S - 3S - 4S, 3S was invitational. What do you lead?
