A few days ago, I posted a poll in the SAYC and 2/1 Forum to see how people would open the East hand. ( http://www.bridgebas...12-opening-bid/ ) 33 of 37 respondents said they'd open 1N. I think GIB should open 1N also.

Has anyone ever seen GIB open a 5422 with 1NT?
