Random BBO pick-up game, no fancy bids. What do you lead and why?

6 if playing 4th best leads, 2 if I am playing 3/5 leads. nothing in the bidding indicates that a or lead would be better, so Ill try my longest and strongest suit.

Good luck,

Theo

small , because leading from 5 card suit gives me best chance to establish enough tricks to beat the contract.
It is true that sometimes this lead will give declarer his 7th trick, but much more often leading passively will just lose a tempo.

Thanks. I led a diamond, but on this deal a spade was much better. I was wondering if there's any reason to prefer the lead of the unbid major.
