Scoring: IMP
We went to 6 ♦, which can not be made.
While 6♣ always makes if ♣ are 3-2
The bidding was:
1♦-(1♥)-2♥-(DBL)
3♣-(p)-3♥-(DBL)
3♠-(p)-5♦-(p)
6♦-all pass
I know this bidding is not very good (eg better bid 3♦ iso 3♥), but can you get to 6♣?

4-4 plays better then 5-4 example For experts: How do you get to 6 Clubs?

Assuming the original 2H promised diamond support, how about 4C instead of 3H, showing the double fit? If partner's 3C is a no trump probe and he doen't have four clubs, he will insist on palyoing in daimonds.

The 2H didn't promise Diamond support.
It was GF, without a 4-card Spade.
3C normally promises 4-card, but can be done on shorter C is no other good bid.
Maybe it could go:
1C-(1H)-2H-(DBL)
3C-(p)-3D-(p)
3H-(p)-4C-(p)
4NT-(p)-5S-(p)
6C-all pass
With 3H and 4C control bids.
4NT ask aces.
5S: 2 of 5 + Q
and 6C confirming the 4-card Club.
... but: 6C could be interpreted as 5-5
... and: Not sure if North would pass if there is a sure 5-4 fit.

Wtihout the diamond support being shown by the cuebid, it is harder to find the club fit.
But if North is aware that the fit is 5-4 diamonds and 4-4 clubs, he should play in clubs, especially if the heart stiff has been pinpointed--it is very likely that a discard will be needed for the third spade.
It is an important point to notice why 6C plays better--not because clubs is a better trump suit (it isn't, the 4-4 is more porne to bad breaks)--but because diamonds is a better side suit. The diamonds produce a discard, but only if they are not trump.
Notice that if we add the Queen of spades to either hand, now 6D is better--it is laydown unless they can ruff the opening lead. 6C can now survive 4-1 clubs, but goes down if they are 5-0. 6C can also be set by an opening lead ruff.
