I'm wondering if 1m (2M) 2N should not deny a major.
Say I have Kxxx Axxx xx Axx and the bidding goes 1D (2S) to me.
If I double, partner may rebid 3m and that may not be our best spot. Also, though the double conveys invitational strength, partner may not have enough to inquire if I have a stopper.
If I bid 2N, then partner knows we have a stopper and can check back for hearts via a cue bid. Thinking it takes less to accept an invite to 3N than to check for a stopper oppostie a negative double.
Same idea for 1m (2H)

Your partner should start bidding 2N over the negative X with no stopper and a balanced hand over a negative X as everyone else does. What happens when your partner has a 1444 12 count and passes your 2N invite and you're cold for 4 of a major?

I guess I thought that opener used a bit of judgment in his 2N rebid (lacking a stopper). With a 2344 (after 1D (2S) dbl P), he might rebid 3C...with a 2353 he might rebid 3D. Not so? Not arguing, just asking.
