BBF Productions proudly presents...

This Saturday, Match #15 will be contested by

Mayors-Finch (AKA FrancesHinden)
Gnasher-Catch22

Then the day after that (also at 14:00 EDT / 20:00 CEST), we will have Match #16 with

JLall-JoeGrue
JDonn-RogerCLee

representing the forums.

Time for our first win I'd say!

It's really hard to come up with a way of saying two strong teams but one is probably stronger and maybe we can post a win without sounding like a jerk. Really though this double header is a great shot at actually posting a win.

If Team BBF cannot win either of these two we may as well give up! Am pretty sure there is no alternative team we can field that is stronger.

Wakeup calls coming 90 seconds prior to game time. I hope Clee hasn't dumped me since last night I tilted and went for 1700. Also working on getting Joe to make one post prior to the match so his forum status can not be questioned, but don't hold your breaths.

LOL don't worry I'm sure Frances and Andy will take the pressure off you by winning on Saturday. ;)

But seriously JEC has a good team and 28-board matches have quite some variance. I mean we would have won a few if they had stopped after 16 boards even with significantly worse teams so obviously anything can happen.

90 seconds? Hope you guys wake up fast. ;)

Also, Joe posting on the forum would be awesome!

That puts loads of pressure on us: this is our last chance to be the first BBF team to win.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I thought any Italian watches Squadra Azzurra playing in the final at exactly this time tomorrow.
Anyway, if the Maestros will watch it with "one eye" the chances for the BBF team are growing B-)

My goal was never to come up with a team that can win vs JEC. I won so many times vs JEC team with weaker teams than we lined up from BBO forums. Theer are a lot to be said about the losses we had untill now, which i am not comfortable to talk about it here.

Goals were

1-These matches would create a source of hands so that we can discuss every week. (reached)
2-These matches would bring some more posters to the forums. ( not reached)
3-I thought i can make it possible for forum members to play regularly against the world's top players, who never played or rarely played. (reached)
4-To help LL to find good, honest, reliable players/team who can come every week, so that his boss (JEC) gets what he seeks from those games. (reached)

Having said that, i am so glad this team is playing tomorrow. Me and Justin talked about it long time ago and i also talked to LL about it, but the plan was to come up with such a strong team from BBF ( i was planning to ask Fred too) and match up vs JEC with one difference, that JEC team would play full line up in both tables. Like Duboin, Alfredo, Lauria. LL found it as a great idea but we never get to execute the idea yet due to different reasons. I still didnt give up on that idea, just waiting the right time.
