Matchpoints, you are vul, all play SAYC (opps unknown, possibly weak)

P deals and passes
RHO passes
you hold

KT
KJ87
A75432
Q

and open 1

LHO dbles an P rdbles (normal: no d fit, at least 10 HCP, may have a 4-card major)
RHO bids 1 (not 2, sorry, correction)

Do you pass and wait or do you show your long suit or even your ?
If you pass, what would be a hand to bid 2with?

I wait. If partner wants to double 2S I'm happy. This is a sound opening with good defensive potential.

2 should show diamonds and hearts if partner is on his toes about subtle inferences.
Bidding 2 immediately after a redouble should show a weak opening hand, however, opposite a passed partner, you should just open 2 if your hand has no interest in game opposite the best hand partner could hold, so the only reason to open at the 1 level must be having another spot to play: it must be hearts. Subtle, but I've had partner's who could get that right.
I make videos about bridge. Check it out!
