Say you're checking your summary after winning a tournament and find out a top from the pair in second place was 'transferred' to you. If you let the Director know of the mistake you'll come in second and they'll win, what would you do?

I personally wouldn't like to win that way but could it be considered a 'rub-of-the-green'? What if you hadn't checked? I have on several occasions found mistakes and reported them and have gone up or down in the positions because of this, but I know some people don't care (for example, they only check if they lose).

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Yes, report it.

In a 2 session event in Houston I found an error between sessions and we dropped to 2nd for that session.

It was the right thing to do. All ended well, we won anyhow with a good 2nd session. Posted Image

I report these things but am sorely tempted not to against people I don't like. Same with accidental claims/accepts on BBO.

Over the years I've had some of the same opponents call my false claim for 4 just in as really +1 and fail to call the Director for minor indiscretions that they probably could have won a ruling on and figure that overall I'm ahead of the game.

Played in the world mixed pairs as a rookie against Allan and Dorothy Truscott with a casual partner and had an enormous failure to alert screw up resulting in a top and all they said was "We knew what was happening. Next hand". Hmm, I thought they were pretty decent role models.

Debbie Rosenberg did this in the mixed BAM last year and went from 1st to 2nd.

It is clearly the right thing to do.
