I have reason to believe that the bidding and the play was done with X-ray vision.

All bids are natural. 3 showed 15-22 Total Points, 4+ , 4+ , and 3-card D (?).
GIB west bids 3 with 4 s to the ten and east bids 3NT without a stopper. Fortunately, his partner has two.

How do you play 3NT on the lead of the jack of spades, north following with the 7?

Win the queen and run the 8 of diamonds. This gives the extra chance of 7x in the south hand.

I think GIB is capable of underleading KJTxxx, so I duck. Oh, South is probably a human. Screw it, I still duck, hoping to either win it in hand or gain my 9th trick in hearts when North switches to that at trick 2.

GIB doesn't peek.

It is an interesting hand. I don't want to immediately duck a diamond to the opening leader - he will clear spades and now if D are not 3-3 i will need to get very lucky in H to avoid going down.

I don't want to sound as weird as the robot, but my instincts are telling me to play a H towards the Q at trick two. I am assuming they have 3 H tricks whenever they want, so maybe they'll block the suit or the H9 will be onside or something . I'm ok with assuming that S does not have two entries in hearts to clear and run spades..maybe what happens next will tell me how to play the hand

And that's what GIB did, except he led a club to the ace before the queen of hearts. I personally would have tested the clubs first and if they break 4-2 or 5-1 I would run the 8 and then try the AK of diamonds since diamonds probably break 3-3 and I can pick up 7x in the south hand as mentioned. If clubs were 3-3 or 2-4 I would try the queen of hearts since diamonds are more likely to break badly. Although I might run into entry problems with this line...

I had KJTxxx A9 xx Txx and north won the first heart with the king so there was no problem after that.
