Why can't I see old topics in this discussion?

In the Bridge Base Online Discussion page, where it lists available forums, it says this form has over 1000 topics. But when I got the forum page I only see one page of topics (about 25 of them). Why can't I see the older topics?

At he bottom of the list, there is an area that says "click here to show filter options". You can change the time period from something like "modified within the last 30 days" to something bigger.
