I was about to show a hand where a splinter bid with a singleton K or A is worthless as a splinter bid because splinter bids are supposed to be picture bids. x, J or void, if only to avoid duplication of values situations. Case in point... After a 1NT oppening and a MSS or Minor suit transfer, the next bid of a new suit at the 3 level is showing a splinter asking Partner to choose between NT with stoppers or to flee to 4 of the minor otherwise. How can opener decide when he knows that the splinter could be a K or a Q and he has the A. What is opener supposed to do when the bidding goes 2C - 2D - 2NT - 3S - 4D - 4H (splinter) and he has AQX and cant bid 4NT to play (it's Blackwood). An other flaw. A NT opener cant ever bid 4NT blackwood ! It's a SUGGESTION to play (he,s not the captain) !
BUT I GIVE UP ON EVER SEEING GIB FULLY FUNCTIONAL !
