1)

If it matters, you do play Lebensohl over double.

2)

Opps are playing 4cM with, IIRC, a strong NT.

Do you double on either of these hands?

umm,no, pass on both.

I have a partner that will balance aggressively on #1 with the right shape and on #2 their strength is behind my quacks and partner didn't act with short hearts.

1-NO, if I was forced to do anything I would rather bid 2 or 3 than double but pass is the correct action.

2-NO, pd is short in hearts, he will balance if he has anything.

I don't double on either. I'm tempted by 2S on both.

Pass on both.

Submitting without selecting either option provokes a server error.

Well that was pretty unanimous :).

First hand I didn't double - felt it was clear as partner won't enjoy playing 3D! 2H was passed out and we got it three off, but that lost 11 IMPs when the guy at the other table doubled and found partner with a 2344 13-count including AJx, netting an easy 3NT+2.

Second hand I felt the hand was strong enough to do something so I did double. (For example, even just Kxxx and out with a singleton heart is enough for 2S to have play; if opps are opening light, 3NT might even be on.) Still, this rates to be a partscore hand and given we're vulnerable - and so are opps, with our hand stacked with defense - the odds likely do favour a pass. Partner had a 3235, bid 3C and unfortunately butchered the play to go 3 off for another 11 IMPs out.

You bid like the unlucky expert. Agree alas with your choices.
