Firstly, shuba, I have never let a challenge expire against you (whether accepted or not) so I have no idea what you are talking about.

Art, I simply couldn't find the time on this one I'm afraid - the boards I did play I played on my phone while travelling (and played very badly). I have a lot on at work and other commitments (which I did not forsee at the outset of the event) and I am going to continue to struggle to find time this week. Having read your post above I think it is better therefore if I concede the match. You have outplayed me so far in any case.

If you must concede, you must.

In any case, I issued a challenge for the 3rd set of 16 boards and I will play them. If you can play them, we can continue. We can also play the 8 boards you missed after the fourth set of 16 boards.

Okay, hopefully I will get a chance to play one set on Thursday and the remaining boards on Sunday. If the other matches finish before this then I am happy to stick with the concession.

Broze over ArtK78 9-7

http://webutil.bridg...136884&u=ArtK78

This is the third set of 16 boards. As noted earlier, the second set of 16 boards was scored 9.5-6.5 in my favor, but Broze did not actually play the last 8 boards, which were all scored as pushes.

After we complete the 4th set of 16 boards we will go back and play the last 8 boards from the second set.

JEC matches (most saturdays around 2pm eastern time) are a great way to practice against some of the strongest player sin the WORLD. Hopefully we will all see that maybe playing with some of your challenge opps might not be such a horrendous experience. Make some time some saturday and maybe play with a strange partner you might be surprised how well it can go:) At the very least they will WILL BID AND DEFEND wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than these nutty robots.

ArtK78 over Broze 10-6

http://webutil.bridg...396967&u=ArtK78

This is set 4 of 4. There are 8 unplayed boards in set 2 of 4. I will now challenge Broze to play the last 8 boards in set 2.

However, it is academic. The score in the first 8 boards of set 2 was 5.5 - 2.5 with me in the lead. So I now lead Broze by 9 boards with 8 to play.

Well played Art and good luck in the rest. I'll finish the last 8 boards this evening for completeness.
