Does GIB getting crazy ?? GIB needs fine tunning..

Welcome to the forums. We have a section in the forums dedicated to GIB hands. Here, North has a marginal invite. Some would do it, some wouldn't. GIB tends to invite very soundly and judged that hand wasn't an invite. Notice here you have a 17 count with a fit and a ruffing value, and 4S could still easily be down on a club ruff, and that is assuming you get the spades right.

marginal 4S I think. Plus GIBBO normally passes 8 hcp hands unless has 5431 shape i.e. the 4 is a major and 5 is a minor.
I say marginal since 3 club losers, find sQ, and 1 heart loser. even if find sq i see 5 spade tricks, 3D and 1H.

These are soft values 1N is fine.
You may want to upgrade to a 2N rebid as many people do purposely overbid NT hands with Gib but that is up to you.
