Could have bid 3H instead of 4?

Yes, you only balance with 20 pts. Some of Gib's methods are unplayable.

Tell me about it. I held Qx,--, AQJxx, QJ98xx and bid 2nt over openers 1S. LHO competed with 3S, pass, pass, to me. So obviously I am supposed to pass, but I like to root around so I bid 4C. Pass, and now partner comes to life and bids 6D on x-- Kxxx--K,10,9,8--Jxx. I was too disgusted to check and see what my 4C bid meant, but obviously GIB thinks I'm showing at least 25+ points and distribution.

GIBBO is famous for its pass-and-punish system. I walk on eggs when i uNT or Michaels and GIBBO passes. If I take another bid almost definitely I hear a cue bid in opps' suit. Because it is 25+ "points".

amazing they released this without fixing bugs. agreed there are huge number of possible sequences. But so does chess?
