Bridge Club Abu Dhabi (UAE) Someone is playing Bridge Here?

Hi ALL,

I just arrived in UAE, i m installed in Abu Dhabi.

I m an advanced bridge player, and i m looking for other bridge players, or clubs in Abu Dhabi.

Hi Aymen,

I'm based in Dubai and am also eager to find a good duplicate game. There used to be a very active bridge community in Dubai + Abu Dhabi from what I've heard but recently it has vanished. I hope someone replies here and gives us more info.

We are 2 now :), we should find 2 others at least !
I think , finding tournaments it's already dead :(

I play bridge...live in abut dhabi as well...haven't heard of others but would like to play. I am intermediate to advanced.

Hello, I will be living in Abu Dhabi from July 2013 and I am an advanced Bridge player. What is the situation today, since your question? Is there a way to find a partner and play? i was told the laws had changed and it was now illegal. this is very possibly a case of chinese whispers though as i don't know any details and never even went there.

Hi everyone. Bridge is definitely legal in UAE and there are some regular clubs.

The one pairs game we could join is held in Holiday Inn Barsha, Dubai on Saturdays 5-8pm. If anyone is interested in playing this game please give me a call at 0505541702

And it looks like there's a few of you players in Abu Dhabi! Someone should take an initiative and host a game

Hi all!
There is a tournament starting 13th December this year in Dubai.
I am interested to play in the tournament.
I am from Kolkata where bridge is a passion.
Am looking for a partner to play in the pairs category.
Am also looking for a place in the team event to be held there.

FYI, I played in the Holiday Inn thrice in September this year and held the 2nd, 1st and 4th positions respectively.

Hi all

Yes it is possible to play bridge in Abu Dhabi :-)

There is two women clubs
One plays every Tuesday morning from 9 to 1pm
The other plays eveery Sunday from 1pm to 5 pm
Both games are at the British Club.

I also know a American women group.

And this year (Oct 2017)we started a group to teach beginner every Monday from 9.30 to 12 at the British Club.
We also have a project to start soon a teaching group on the evening with a man very good player :-)
