My partners and I are rookies. We get trounced in the open games by experts and world class players. Are their any rookie games where we might have a chance of winning. We play at the rookie games at our local clubs but the times aren't always convenient.

Thanks!

Check out the free tourneys and the casual & main areas. Search tourneys for Rookie or Novice or Beginner.
Join https://bilbridge.com/ for their free tourneys.

If "trounce" only means you lose and not that you get abused, then hang on in there and learn from your mistakes.
If not then they are not really experts anyway, so don't worry.

If you are actually interested in getting better, playing novice games is the worst thing you can do. Will only teach you bad habits.

Why not consider joining BIL (Beginners-Intermediate Level) group? They will provide free mentors once you join (and ask) and many of their mentors/teachers run free sessions which are well attended by other BIL members.

The sign up form requires me to disclose a bunch of my BBO info like username and email address. In this day and age there are security concerns with that. Does BBO own/operate this web site? I'm guessing not, so who does? And is this a paid subscription service?

If only the people who ran the BIL had thought to including this information on their website, we'd be spared so much time and effort digging through DNS records...

The person that runs the BIL has been doing it since the dawn of time. She has put an enormous amount of her own funds and energy into it.
She lacks the technical resources to change it at this stage.
It is a one-person operation - not the National Security Agency, the CIA or anything else that is packed to the rafters with incredible people that can instantly redesign websites.

Not everything that has a web interface is a multi-billion dollar tech. conglomerate.

All the same, I'm sure that she is apologetic for the effort that you have to go through with your DNS record search.

Nobody is forcing anyone to sign up. If they don't want to. Don't.
