From a recent Robot Rebate 55%:

Could this be the worst GiB auction ever?

There is a school of thought that says fourth hand should always double when 2NT is passed around.

yes, I have heard this also but its dangerous. however the robot went berserk bidding instead. forget about 55% rebate: think you should get 100% rebate of your money when robot does garbage bidding like this

I don't see what you're complaining about.
EW has an excellent mini-Moysian.
Just shockingly bad luck with the trump split, the complete lack of points and the rather poor distribution of honours - many of which seem - for no apparent reason to be in the defender's hands.
Clearly, GIB has been tweaked to cope with the optimistic nullve NT point range. Something that I've recently been emulating with minimal success.

Mind you I did just pick up 4.8 IMPs when EW tried a similar bid in this hand 2 minutes ago.

As an auction no, the 3 call at least suggests a reasonable conjecture that there may be a sustainable 3 level fit somewhere...
but the 4 call is amongst the worst I have seen, whether from robots or humans.

4 isn't even close to the worst I have seen.
