Not really interested in the bots question, but with any human partner (assuming 3♦ did not promise fit) I am not particularly optmistic here.
A natural 5♣ says that and if partner sees more, he is still in the auction.

3D just shows diamonds and is game-forcing. Partner bids 5D over 5C, so you have another decision to make.
