In an ideal world, one could visit any bridge platform with any robot as partner...
but that requires vision, collaboration, implementation and other difficult stuff.

Overall I think the Acol bots bid better than the 2/1 bots. I haven't seen any of the unlimited but de facto non-forcing bids.

1-2
2-2
3-3*

3 shows exactly two spades. This can't be right since 3 on the previous round would have been non-forcing (a bit dubious but OK many Acol pairs play it that way) so there is no way to show a slamish hand with 3-card support.

I appreciate that Acol as I once learned it is outdated, but as I recall, 3 here showed 2 cards, any level of spades on any round would have been non-forcing and a jump response of 3 followed by 3 would have shown a slammish hand with 3+ card support B-)
I can check the books next week to be sure, if you like.

Thanks, that makes a bit of sense although I wouldn't like to jump shift with any hand with any slamish hand with 3-card support, especially when playing 4-card majors. I wonder if this is actually the way Argine plays it?

On the other hand, one probably shouldn't expect Acol to have an inteligent way to bid arbitrary GF hands. The Dutch beginner's books, for example, said that
1-2
shows five while
1-2
shows four, because with 3433 and 11 points the response would be 2NT :)
