It is an extra step to open a hand when you want to chat to a tournament, especially multiple lines using a macro.
Please allow directors to post to a tournament when the table list is showing.
And/or keep the "Chat to tournament" dialog open after a chat sent.

I don't disagree, but I have seen TDs send multiple lines of chat before the tourmanent starts... not sure how it works, but you could be clearer in describing the problem.

Certainly somebody from BBO should reply.

If you have the tourney registration open, you can post multiple lines to the tourney
It you have a hand open, you can post multiple lines to the tourney
BUT if you only have the table list, you CANNOT post to the tournament at all, except 1 line using the tournament menu, then menu, chat choice, post, repeat ad nauseum.
TDs should be able to post to the tournament so long as the tourney table list is showing.

Tom, you can not do that from the tournament "lobby", while seeing tables, but you can if you join any table from that tournament.
Once at the table, choose tournament chat and run your lines.

That's what I do. But why not allow it for TD whenever the TD's table list is open? No need to open table & cause more BBO resources to be used. The choice to chat to tournament is already there, but is not honoured.
And/or keep "Chat to tournament" dialog open until closed?
