Nope, robot plays 4sf here; a 2/1 weak, but 1/1 unlimited, as per Larry Cohen and several other online references.

I'm sure you're correct. I'm thinking of the the message that ops can't play at the 2-level undoubled.

Lots of stuff on this one.
1. West is too weak for reverse flannery.
So one spade.
2. East might rebid 1NT, my choice, then playing XYZ west can rebid non forcing 2H.
3. 2C rebid normal enough, now west could pass or my preference rebid 2S.

West 90 percent ATB for bidding 2H which is 4SF to game.

No, the lack of redouble by west does NOT deny 10+ Hcp.

When I play with my regular partner, we have an agreement that we ignore all doubles in the bidding, and after intervening bids, all systems are off, so in that case will treat 2 as FSF and bid 2NT.

However, this was not a regular partnership and I had no idea what it mean, but the general principle that any new suit bid by an unpassed responder is forcing (unless the partner has made a limit bid), so I had to bid something, and I couldn't bid 3 because the responder might have only 4.

This still doesn't solve the problem of this hand though, when the bidding starts with 1 - 1 - 2.

Assuming 2 is forcing, the only possible choices are pass, 2, and 2.

None of them look appealing, but all of them are better than a forcing 2.

I think 2 probably has the best chance of being okay - opener could still have 2 or 3 spades. It also has the highest chance of being terrible - if opener has a void.

I would bid 2 at MPs and pass at IMPs.
