Sound effects off? My "sound effects off" toggle doesn't seem to work

I have "Sound Effects On" toggled to OFF in my settings, but I'm still hearing sound effects. How can I mute them? Thank you.

Are you sure the sound effects are coming from BBO? I've always had it off and never hear anything. This is the first I've heard of the toggle not working.

What specific sound effects are you getting?
