I am of a strong belief that the bots are ganging up against me. The opponents compete, raise their partner, do all sorts of interruption, but you can't get a squeak out of partner except the rare occasion you dare try to compete only for it to raise you to the roof, and I have another hand from one of yesterday's survivors but this one is the worst case I have come across so far.

RHO opens a weak 2D fair enough, I bid 2NT as did many other players, and LHO with that weak hand manages to raise partner to 3D. If I opened 2D weak, my partner would never raise me on that. The idea of supporting my suit with support to compete doesn't cross my partner's mind ever.

And what does North do with that absolutely massive hand? Even the dumbest club player would bid at least 4H and any reasonable player would probably take a punt at 6H. As it is 7H is totally cold. And GIBBO passes! Why would anyone expect that, having expressed my hand with 2NT, I am going to reopen the bidding?

(If I could edit this to sort out the hand I will, for now it's a link).

The GIBBO robots are not ganging up on you, but they are among the worst "bridge players" of all time, as proven by this hand and countless others.
