I have done some further testing using developer tools in Edge, and tested by my Wifi and Mobile hotspot. Rebooted Windows, installed all updates. Checked in Edge and Chrome etc
Chat GPT tells me the problem is not anything to do with my internet or routing and that the issue is something to do with this
f it fails in exactly the same way via your phone hotspot, then this is not your router, DNS, VPN, antivirus, or Edge configuration.
What that means (plain English)
Your internet is fine
Your device is fine
Your browser is fine
Bridge Base Online’s real-time server endpoint is not accepting your connection
The key line is still this:
WebSocket connection to wss://v3proxysl13.bridgebase.com/ failed
That host (v3proxysl13) is a specific regional WebSocket proxy used by Bridge Base Online.
Your login request succeeds (“loginRequest OK”), but the live game socket never establishes, so the app reports “User is not connected”.
Sadly it has now been at least two hours since my Play Bridge Now button was noticed not to function. My BBO app doesn't work either
Just checked a USA VPN. Nope
Also very sad nobody else on the forums to talk to or read my messages

There was a major outage, and the Forums were also down through it, which was why we could not post updates here. Systems are operational now. We'll post an announcement once we have more details from the techs.

BBO is just unstable, it happens often you can't log on because supposedly there is no internet, while you of course have no issue anywhere else on the internet from the same device.
You also get disconnected from tournaments you are playing, very frequently. If you are very lucky you can reconnect on time, but usually it takes too long, a disaster for maintaining TCR at a decent level.
I guess it is what it is. It does cause me not to be prepared to pay for anything here.
