I hold:

AKJ92
AKJ63
Q5
10

Opps silent, my partner opens 1D, I respond 1S. Now partner bids 1NT.

I think most play 2H here as 5-4 in majors and 6-9 points; 3C as 4-card spade, 6-card club, weak hand; 3D as non-forcing; and 3H as 5-5 in majors invitational.

So, how should the opener proceed? Thanks.

The simple solution: NMF, i.e. you start with 2C.
The 5-4 weak and the 55 invitational options you mention are part of NMF, if you dont play NMF,
you should not play those two option you mentioned in the first place.

Obviously there are other methods out there.
With kind regards
