This will be the last new version for about 2 weeks. Then I will try to fix all the bugs that are reported between now and then. Then, after perhaps a day or 2 of beta testing, we will release a new version to all BBO members by automatic download.

The latest version of GIB is included in version 4.8.1. In 4.8.0 it was necessary to upgrade GIB in a separate download. That is no longer the case (and the size of the single download is the same as usual).

You can now see how many pairs/individuals are registered to play in a tournament that has not started yet as part of the information that appears when you move your mouse over such a tournament.

Some bugs have been fixed. Thanks to everyone who reported them. Please keep up the good work and test 4.8.1 to help ensure that the upcoming automatic download is not a disaster!

Please report bugs to fred@bridgebase.com, but I may not be able to respond to your e-mail (or try to fix any problems) until after July 25.

At this particular moment in time, we are having problems with our download site that may make it impossible for you to upgrade. Hopefully this problem will be resolved in a matter of hours...

I suggest you use the first method, but however you do this, please make sure you exit the BBO program COMPLETELY before you start the download process.
