Thanks all, I'm pleased to see that the title turned out to be highly appropriate. None of these hands were from real life. This thread was motivated by some critique that Arend gave me several months ago. He told me that when I open 1C with a strong balanced hand I bid too often on my second turn when I shouldn't.

The discussion focussed nicely on this topic so thanks for the input!
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
