I'd like to start playing 2/1 on BBO. I mostly play with pick up partner (because of the flexibility).
I wonder:
- Is Walsh, inverted minors included in 2/1?
- Is 1M-2m-2M-3m always forcing?
- Do 1H-2D-2S/3C/3D promise extra's; making 2NT minimum balanced (or 18-19) or 2H catch all if not appropriate for 2NT?
... From what I have read I understand that there is no real standard for these. Is there an easy way to agree this?
Thanks,
Koen

I think the most likely answer to all of your questions is "yes", but none of them can be assumed to be the case with a pick-up. They are some of the things you would need to discuss.

I think BBO-advanced would be a reasonable place to start. If you play with a pick-up partner who doesn't bother to study BBO-advanced (or some other standard package) I think you're better off just playing SAYC, since that is at least reasonably well-defined (assuming that the pick-up partner knows what SAYC is). I might get flamed for this but at least Adam agrees.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

I'd say 95% of the players who play 2/1 will assume Walsh. But 'only' 80% will assume inverted minors.

- Is 1M-2m-2M-3m always forcing?

Yes, but several players have 2/1 GF unless suit rebid in their profile, if your partner is one of the talk to him before play.

- Do 1H-2D-2S/3C/3D promise extra's; making 2NT minimum balanced (or 18-19) or 2H catch all if not appropriate for 2NT?

Europeans play normally suit rebid as a catch all, I think americans diverge more.
