You pick up this mitt against first class opps in second seat with pass on your right.
AK982 A98653 none AK, not bad at all. All vul.

You open 1H and face a constructive raise 2H you would bid what next?

If you faced a 4 card constructive raise what is your choice?

May I self-splinter 4D, then 5N as GSF asking 2xH-tops to show 6H or 7H?

If you're going to bid GSF, why bother with the splinter?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I'd start with 2. Grand slam is going to depend upon his spade holding, so I should take the opportunity to say I have length there.

Ya 2 is fine. I play this as a HSGT with many partners, and if partner leaps to 4 i can bid 5NT. If he tries to sign off I'll settle with the small slam.

2S seems about as obvious as you can get.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Hey..ken and I agree on something...2. It's not clear how things will proceed from here, but this has got to be as useful a start as there is

2S works best over the constructive 2H raise as partner would decline that game try. Over 3H you would now bid 3S I assume or find some other choice.

The bergen raise group catch the 4 card constructive raise, in this case 3D, and now over 3S they(that is the group option?) are no longer making any game try. Responder would bid 4D.

Group 1 getting the rejection over 2S bid 3S over 3H (I assume) and would face 4D next. You have identified your shape. Would Qxx have been help, gee not sure are you as responder (not my help search). Does bidding 4D from responder now show help in S? I do not think so.

No group gets past 4D cue bid, unless some agreement about 3N over 3S not available at this time.
