1 can be short (you open 5542)
3 iso 2 would have been splinter, you didn't have that option. (You could have started with 4)
2 is weak (3-6+)

You passed over 4 (difficult to see another option?)
Do you pass, DBL or bid?

Hand 1 is an obvious pass. My partner knows a lot more about my hand than I do about hers, so why should I bid her hand for her?

The second hand is much harder, however I double. It is hard to see 5S making when partner has bid 2 suits and I hold these hearts. I don't think we can make 6C.

The 7th (that lowers the possibility to cash 1 or 2 spades)?

Yes that's the only thing partner doesn't know about our hand. But 2 is already 6-7 spades 3-6 HCP apparently, so we are completely in range. The hog has it right - bidding again here is nonsense.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I would definitely pass over 5, and 5 X on the first one. The extra spade is not enough to pull, since partner should not be expecting too many spade tricks on this auction anyway.

On the second one, it's fairly close, I misclicked a vote for pass... I would double though. I'm having a hard time seeing 6/6 making, however I'll be ready to apologize (as usual) if it does.

Partner has heart shortness on hand 2 where I have KQ, so I pick defend, and doubled.

I'd want to show my support but the hand doesn't really fit anyway.

First one is even more clear preempts don't bid again. Its a matter of discipline, if you open 2 with 7 spades QJ and out you don't pull partner's doubles even at the 3 level, so at the 5 level its even more clear.

1. Pass now and forever. It would be very undisciplined to bid unilaterally 5 over 5.

2. Tough. I pass. Mainly because I don't want to discourage partner from bidding again, if this a freak deal. Also I don't have any tricks and only singleton spade. I'm tempted to double, not to bid 6m.

First is simply discipline. Have I said my piece? Done and done.

Second would be much more comfortable had I shown something over 4S.
Now I trust partner has an offensive hand to second suit at the 5-level.
I try 6D. Mostly hoping 4S then 5S preemptor sacrifices -- he twice insisted on HIS spades.

Well that is never going to happen unless you play against idiots.

The Hog already wrote whats in my mind.

-Pass and pass 5Dx
-Dbl

=> 6Dx-1 (I'm not 100% of the Club spots. West did have QT.. but I'm not sure about 98..
