Good question and I am going to pass. I can see more good things happening if I pass than if I bid. Fluffy's 2 is ok but I won't know what to do on the next round either. Vul I would bid 2 I guess.

Pass. With this misfit the primary concern is to escape the hand with a plus score.

pass is your friend. game is not likely - we don't see a fit and 3NT is impossible with this heart holding.

Pass... Yuck, not much chance of a game, and 2 looks to maybe be our top spot.
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!

I cant honestly say I would have opened, but my life would be easier now if I had.

Pass with a nice 7HCP, and be happy if anybody else bids again.

OK, part 2 guys:

If you bid 2, the auction continues:

P-1H-2C-P
2D-P-2H-P
??

If you pass, the auction goes:

P-1H-2C-P
P-2D-P-2S
??

I will continue to think inside the box and pass again. I don't know they will make very often here but this auction sounds fishy and who knows who has what. I'm not doubling white at imps a 7-8 card fit when trumps split, I've already decided previously that we don't have game.

Spoiler

Hi,

2NT.

I am not going to pass, although this may very well be best by fair margin,
I would go with 2NT, ..., I am not convinced.

Maybe 3C, or Pass.

With kind regards
Marlowe

And what do you do when partner raises to 3NT? What hand type are you playing partner for?

2, on grounds that our long hearts make it likely pard is 4126/2146/3136.

Yes, I'm feeling lucky this morning lol.

Pass over 2 at this vul (would consider bidding if vulnerable) nless partner is an al roth's disciple. Over 2 choice is between a chicken pass or a dangerous DBL (values implying club misfit). I think DBL is the winning long term bid unless we agreed with partner that 2 can be quite shaded.

Really easy pass of 2C at any vul.

What game are you guys trying to get to? 3N with seven fifth of hearts after they open 1H is a long way off, even if we have a heart stopper somehow (which is unlikely because we have at least 10 combined with LHO), we don't have a source of tricks. This could easily be a hand where we have 26 HCP and no game...and that's if partner has a near max 2C overcall.

Trying to get to an 11 trick game also seems ridiculous.

I also pass 2S. No chance I'm going to double them at imps with Kxx, and obviously I don't want to compete.
