I dont think 2c is close
3d tells pard I have extras...long d....shortness
2c=very ambigious
If you think close then 7d should tilt.
with all of that said....jump rebid in minor is confusing/tough...

the thing with 2♣ is if pard now pulls to 2♦ or 2♠, we have a very easy raise to 3♦, thus completing the description of our hand to 99% degree accuracy
