I don't usually play Cappelletti, so I'm a little puzzled by GIB's use of it.

2 is explained as 5+S; 5+H, which East doesn't have.

2 is explained as spades and a minor; 4+S.

When does Cappelletti show 5/5 and when is 4 sufficient?

When played by humans 2 shows both majors and can be 4-5 either way. 2M shows a two suiter with that major and a minor and can be 5-4 either way although 5M is much more common as you need to be stronger/better if you are 4M5m. I imagine the bots are similar.

Both hands like capp hands to me. No sane human would hold the exact cards he alerts every single time either.
He is alerting his likely distribution (both majors or major+minor), which is what he has.

The only problem I have with this is, many partnerships wouldn't use capp in balancing seat(?)

Rain: I understand that humans make deviations from their partnership agreements. Since I'm not very familiar with Cappelletti, I'm asking whether this was a deviation, or if I should expect partner to be 4/5, since 4/5 is a more frequent occurrence than 5/5. Thanks for your help.
