There are two motions on the agenda for the Louisville BOD meeting concerning robots. One completely eliminates ACBL points for games which use robots, and the other reduces the points. Is BBO addressing this issue?

Thanks, Jo Anne

Hi J

Yes, we're aware of these motions, and we're doing our best to address them. Ultimately these sorts of decisions are up to the ACBL but we try to lobby and educate as best we can, for the benefit of our bridge players.

Thanks, I might suggest that those interested in keeping these ACBL Robot games let their District Directors know, and tell them the reasons for your opinions. I can't see how the ACBL could pass up the bucks these games bring in but that might be overridden by personal agendas on the board.

As a First Alternate to the BOD I would certainly support keeping the robots, if for some reason our Director can't attend the meeting and I get to actually vote on the issue.
