small spade to the A, spade back.

MP, complaints about the bidding without any indication on a chosen line will be respectfully ignored. Spades are probably 5-3.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

The two reasonable lines seem to be pitch a diamond from your hand and lead a club off dummy, going for pitching 3 diamonds and picking up Kx of hearts onside, vs pitching 2 clubs from your hand, playing ace and a diamond, and hope to survive the ensuing madness (eg, RHO wins and plays a spade, I ruff with the 7, take a club tap in my hand (lead a diamond and ruff with the 9 or jack in dummy).

Id probably go for the latter but maybe that's unwise. If it falls apart its gonna be bad lol.

I'd go for the Morton's Fork, because it's more fun.

I don't often say this, but I think this thread is in the wrong forum.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

My initial thought but with ruffing a club, then playing a diamond. I usually play such a hand like this or similar for a few tricks, see if I'm still in contention and THEN make a plan.

RHO has to have the HK for us to make this. He does not have to have the CA. So, no forking around for me. I'll pitch a club, then heart to queen and hope to lose only a spade and 2 diamonds.

I think I'll throw some losing clubs away. Thanks, East!

I'd go for the discarding two clubs, ace and a diamond, and madness.
I'd be happier if I had the 8 of hearts.

i take 2 club pitches followed by heart to the Q dia A and a diamond

if rho wins and leads another spade ruff low and hope rho began with Kx trumps
and 3 diamonds (or ruffing finesse against Lho in diamonds)*
if lho wins the dia its a lot easier though we will be playing for 33 diamonds we will not
care if rho began with 2 or 3 hearts.

*other defenses may allow us to lay down the heart A and take a ruffing finesse against lho
in diamonds if that seems reasonable.
