Clearly GIB North missorted its hand, and it thought it was 4-4 in the black suits.

The only logical assumption I can make from this is that GIB is looking for a change of partner...Well that or GIB is a sadist at heart.

Junior - Always looking for new partners to improve my play with..I have my fair share of brilliancy and blunders.

Thanks for reporting.
Fixed in v29.
2♠ is as per book by GIB. Very close to invite 3♠ but not enough HCP as partner could decide to bid 3NT.

It's a matter of evaluation, but I think with shortness in both partner's suits, the hand isn't going anywhere without a spade fit. Also, jacks.
