Assuming imp scoring, an unimaginative guess to get the ball rolling is:

Insufficient entries to play spades towards the hand, so it comes down to guessing trumps correctly.

I'll let the J float (the 2nd dbl excludes RHO from having 6 diamonds) and play K from hand, intending to ruff one in dummy later on. Hopefully I'll gather some relevant info before committing in trumps.

Not sure if this is better than the attempt to ruff out the A.. if opps falsecard like there's no tomorrow, it will be harder.

You have sufficent entries to play spades towards the hand, because spades are 4-3 and you can ruff it out.

For that, yes. For Axxx, no. And besides, the ace can be offside.

What I mean is that the chance for finding East with Axx might be inferior to the count info you get from opps just by playing out the hand. Anyway, I dunno what's best. One is an honest way of making the hand. The other relies on human issues. Might work, might fail.

yeah, it is a sound idea, play a club and see if east gives a honest count, you have spade count and diamond count from the start, and your line would see LHO play K when you ruff in dummy. Also once you see LHO has A and K there is no way RHO doubled without singleton heart, so you will get it right.
