Do you pull partner's double, and if you do what should it show (weakness, strength, or just a hand unsuited to defence)?

I'd pull, which shows weakness. I have two extra spades and a min hand. Even if pard has a void spade, this rates to make.

It's true 1NTx or 2-something can be bloody, but it can also cause a discussion later on if stuff goes wrong. I'd just make it easier on my nerves and pull, for a near-certain make.

I would pull for sure. Direct 2 shows weakness, passing and pulling 2m to 2 shows a better hand.

I'm pulling to 2 also.

You do have 2 1/2 QTs, but the primary reason you bid was distribution -- long s. Partner can be doubling on a good 9 or 10, expecting you to have a 12-13 count, and therefore giving your side more than the balance of the points (at least 22-23 total). That usually is enough to insure 1 NT goes down. Not having that much makes the penalty double much more iffy. So, it's best to pull to 2 .
