1st seat, white v. red

GIB holds:

9853
AKQT8653
J
-void-

GIB passes

It seems this is peculiar to GIB holding a 10-count (will open 1H with 11+ or pre-empt with 5-9)

This was meant to be fixed with the last GIB upgrade according to http://www.bridgebas...post__p__944490 and http://www.bridgebas...post__p__945231 . Seems they missed some cases.

Could be the four card spade suit as some sort of exception.
Sarcasm is a state of mind

I believe it doesn't fit a 4H opening because of the spades, and it doesn't fit a 1H opening because it downgrades the singleton jack so lacks the HCP. Obviously with four small and eight solid the side suit could reasonably not matter, but they weren't getting into exceptions. If the jack were in one of the majors it would have opened 1H.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
