I think you should add a rebate for anyone winning the tourney but with less than 55%.

Wouldn't it make more sense to rebate when you have more than 55%?

There should probably be a minimum number of boards for this, like at least 8 boards.

The rebate already goes to anyone who scores more than 55%. The tournies are 12 boards long.

You're talking about the existing Robot Rebate tournaments. I think the OP is suggesting a new rebate for Robot Challenges.

My interpretation was that he was suggesting that in the existing games a rebate should be given to the winners even if they scored less than 55%. That would seem reasonable to me, though it doesn't occur that often.

It's not that infrequent when there are just two entries - winning by one board means winning with slightly less than 55%.

My experience is that only two entries is fairly infrequent.

I think the minimum allowed is 3 entries.

Maybe. He confused me by writing "Robot Challenge" in the subject, so I thought he was talking about the new game we added last week.

I've certainly experienced only two results on the boards, but perhaps one player entered and then didn't play.

I have played quite a few with only 2 entries.

You're right. The minimum is 2 for BBO robot tourneys, including Robot Reward, but 3 for ACBL robot tourneys.
