Hello,
Yesterday I had registered for the pairs 18 board tournament at 3:15pm and both my partner and I received a conformation that we were registered. When we logged back in a few minutes before the tournament started, the system showed we were registered. Then, within the last minute before the tournament started, we received a notice that our registration had been cancelled with no explanation. We were able to register for and play in the 4:15 tournament.
Today, we also registered for the 3:15 tournament and received a confirmation. We logged back in just before hand and were not seated in the tournament and this time, did not see any message from the system that our registration had been cancelled.
Can anyone help me understand what's happening?
Thanks!

It means one this happened:
1) One or both players were inegible to be seated at the time the tourney started.
2) One or both players couldn't cover the entry fee.
today, at 15:15:11: TOURNEY DEREGISTER Lefrench+<partner> because <partner> is missing
Your partner reconnected at 15:15:27, but by then, it was too late.
There are other reasons to be inegible, I remember two from the top of my head:
Playing in another tourney (or match)
Being in a teching table (I think sitting, but not sure)

Nope. What happened the first time was that BBO, in its wisdom, restricted the tourney from the registered 93 pairs down to 80, dumping 13 pairs unceremoniously.
Please complain vigorously to support@bridgebase.com that they should NOT restrict free tourney sizes when $$$ tourneys have hundreds or thousands of players.

Logs are in the America/Chicago timezone.
Same partner, who reconnected 2 seconds after this happened.
Tourney was: #4187 ACBL Tue Pairs 3:15PM (18 Boards)
